Come probabilmente saprete se siete frequentatori di queste pagine, il nostro è un gruppo di amici uniti dalla passione per il whisky, che oramai allieta i nostri fine settimana da quattro anni. Nel frattempo, oltre a perdere parte del nostro patrimonio di famiglia, abbiamo cominciato a conoscere questo fantastico mondo. Nel 2014 è nata la nostra creatura whiskyroma.com, un blog sul whisky nel quale riportiamo le impressioni sulle bottiglie che abbiamo la fortuna di gustare insieme con discussioni generali, opinioni ed eventi che hanno il succo di malto come oggetto. Sebbene curare la pagina richieda tempo, ci ha anche dato la possibilità di espanderci e di venire in contatto con esperti del settore; non ultimo, abbiamo conosciuto persone che poi sono diventate buoni amici, che mai rifiutano un dram in compagnia.
Quest’anno, per la quinta volta, il 5 ed il 6 Marzo si terrà l’annuale fiera di Spirit of Scotland. Tra le tante annunciate novità di siamo anche noi: l’organizzazione ci ha infatti scelto, concedendoci l’onore di allestire e gestire il Collector’s Corner. Qui potrete trovare qualcosa di diverso da ciò che viene offerto nei comuni bar, e pure nelle enoteche non specializzate in whisky. Ci sarà ampia scelta, in modo da poter stuzzicare i gusti più diversi così da sperare di coinvolgere quante più persone possibili. Spirit of Scotland, tramite la sua pagina web, ha cominciato a mostrare le bottiglie che potrete trovare se deciderete di farvi un dram in nostra compagnia. In the meantime, while we start losing great part of our family’s net worth, we started learning about the amazing world of whisky; as part of the process, our creature whiskyroma.com was born at the beginning of 2014. Here, the aforementioned reviews are reported, along with general discussions, opinions and Italian events regarding whisky. Although constant attention is required, this blog has allowed us to expand and to come in contact with experts and with good never-whisky-dram-dismissing fellows.
This year, for the fifth time, on March the 5th and 6th, the new edition of Spirit of Scotland is going to start. With respect to the last edition, there will be many news; even if some still have to be unveiled, a lot of these have already been announced. Whisky Roma is among these new entries, since SoS has picked us in order to handle the Collector’s Corner section. Here, you will find accurately selected bottles, so that you will have the opportunity to have some drams of whisky not easily achievable on the shelves of a common liquor store. There will be a variety of choices in order to involve as many people as possible and to share this amazing passion with as many fellows as possible. SoS website has been discovering since few weeks the bottles you will be able to enjoy if you will decide to make a stop by the Collector’s Corner.
