N: Attacco di marzapane e malto seguito dalla freschezza dello zenzero e della cannella, saltuariamente l’alcol solletica l’olfatto, in seguito succo di limone, radice di liquirizia, tabacco da pipa e chicchi di caffè tostati.
P: Avete presente il pane caldo appena sfornato? Anche una leggera torbatura fumosa timbra il cartellino, pan di zucchero, succo di pomodoro e frutta secca, noci e mandorle.
F: Di media persistenza, radici di liquirizia, succo di pomodoro e frutta secca.
Un dram molto piacevole proveniente da una small batch contenente altre 2550 bottiglie, non ravvisiamo una complessità trascendentale, nonostante tutto apprezziamo i lati più delicati e sinuosi.

N: We’re embraced from malt and marzipan then a delighted freshness of ginger and cinnamon, even though the alchool nabbing the sense intermittently we’re bewitched, lemon juice, licorice roots, pipe tobacco and toasted coffee grains.
P: It seems that we’re taking bread out of the oven as soon as we’ve identified the smoked peat, sugar loaf, orange’s marmelade, tomatoe’s juice, dried fruits and as the nuts as the toasted almonds.
F: Medium finishing, licorice roots, tomatoe’s juice and dried fruits.
This first edition of tomatin 1998 was aged for 25 years in a small batch of which are been bottled 250 bottles in 2014, honestly we wouldn’t gather the long aging only doing a blind tasting, it results pretty lively and complex.
