C: Giallo paglierino.
N: I profumi ci trasportano nel mezzo di un primaverile prato fiorito, in seconda istanza essenza di rosa che progredisce in rosa appassita poi fanno capolino odori di frutta fresca (mela verde e limoni di sorrento) in ultimo zuppa inglese e lontano richiamo alla vaniglia.
P: I richiami floreali spariscono in favore della frutta presente in elevate quantità: cocco, banana poco matura, ancora mela verde poi una formidabile crema di limone; come ultimi sapori abbiamo annotato la vaniglia e il liquore all’arancia
F: Una tenue speziatura di pepe interrompe i caratteri fruttati, veri dominatori del distillato che inesorabilmente tornano con la loro dolcezza stucchevole: limone, zucchero, yogurt bianco e cocco.
Uno Scapa imbottigliato da Gordon&MacPhail che di Scapa ha ben poco, più vicino ad un classico malto di Lowland senza però la giusta proporzione alcolica che bilancia gli eccessi dolci, portato della sesquipedale presenza di frutta. Sicuramente adatto per la calda stagione o per un aperitivo molto easy.

C: Straw yellow.
N: The smells brings us into a spring flowered field, then in a second time the roses smell that goes toward to withered roses and fresh fruits smell ( green apple and Sorrento’s lemons ) and at last english egg cream and vanilla.
P: The flower component disappears in furtherance of an high quantity of fruits: coconut, unripe banana, green apple again and then an extraordinary lemon cream. Last flavors of vanilla and orange liqueur.
F: A very soft of black pepper spice interrupts the fruity notes, the main dominators of the distillate that comes back again in their sweetness: lemon, sugar, white yogurt and coconut.
A Scapa bottled by Gordon&MacPhail that does not seem a real Scapa, definitely closer to a classic Lowland malt without the right alcoholic content that balances the sweetness excess of fruits. Certainly suitable for the warm season or for an easy aperitif.
